Este problema tiene efectos negativos para el medio ambiente, la poblaci\u00f3n y el planeta Tierra. Es por eso que se deben de tomar ya las medidas necesarias porque se ha vuelto un problema grave para el mundo en la actualidad.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las graves causas de esta mala gesti\u00f3n?<\/h3>\n<p>Las causas del problema de los vertederos son las siguientes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Desechos s\u00f3lidos: debido a que la gran mayor\u00eda de estos residuos no son biodegradables, estos se acumulan en los vertederos donde permanecen muchos a\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li>Desechos agr\u00edcolas: este tipo de residuo puede contaminar la tierra y los recursos h\u00eddricos.<\/li>\n<li>Desechos industriales y de la construcci\u00f3n: este tipo de residuo est\u00e1 compuesto por desechos provenientes de refiner\u00edas de petr\u00f3leo, centrales el\u00e9ctricas, obras de construcci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n farmac\u00e9utica. Por lo que, este tipo de desechos pueden ser peligrosos.<\/li>\n<li>Urbanizaci\u00f3n y crecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n: el crecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha provocado un aumento de los residuos urbanos en los vertederos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 efectos negativos tiene una mala gesti\u00f3n de residuos?<\/h3>\n<p>Los efectos negativos que puede tener el problema de los vertederos son los siguientes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contaminaci\u00f3n del aire: el vertedero emite m\u00e1s de 10 gases t\u00f3xicos, de los cu\u00e1les el gas metano es el m\u00e1s peligroso. Estos gases nocivos provocan problemas en la calidad del aire.<\/li>\n<li>Contaminaci\u00f3n de las aguas subterr\u00e1neas: muchos de los materiales que se depositan en los vertederos tienen elementos t\u00f3xicos que se pueden filtrar en la tierra y que acaban llegando al agua dulce.<\/li>\n<li>Efectos sobre la salud de la poblaci\u00f3n: las personas que viven cerca de vertederos pueden presentar problemas de salud derivados de los efectos nocivos producidos por los vertederos.<\/li>\n<li>Contaminaci\u00f3n del suelo: los vertederos inutilizan el suelo donde est\u00e1n situados y, tambi\u00e9n, destruyen el suelo adyacente porque los t\u00f3xicos se esparcen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 soluciones se pueden llevar a cabo para poner fin a este problema?<\/h3>\n<p>En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, se ha a\u00f1adido un nuevo concepto en la gesti\u00f3n de residuos: la valorizaci\u00f3n. De esta manera, los desechos org\u00e1nicos procedentes de los vertederos pueden transformarse en una fuente de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n, el ser humano puede aportar su granito de arena realizando una serie de acciones para disminuir la cantidad de basura que se acumula en los vertederos.
