A m\u00e1quina tem de ser alimentada continuamente. Um sistema de facas permite sua entrada ao mesmo tempo que limita a entrada de oxig\u00eanio para que n\u00e3o ocorra nenhuma combust\u00e3o de qualquer tipo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abB\u00bb \u00c9 um motor que gira continuamente alguns cilindros (\u00abC\u00bb) atrav\u00e9s dos quais as pellets passam por um processo que dura entre 1 e 3 horas, dependendo da morfologia das pellets a serem tratadas. A retorta \u00e9 aquecida pela igni\u00e7\u00e3o do g\u00e1s recuperado pela planta, a temperatura no tubo superior \u00e9 inferior \u00e0 do tubo inferior.<\/p>\n<p>Dependendo do produto a ser obtido, a temperatura ser\u00e1 ajustada. Quanto mais temperatura, mais syngas e menos carv\u00e3o e vice-versa. Em caso de aumento de press\u00e3o, existe uma v\u00e1lvula de seguran\u00e7a que \u00e9 activada a partir de 15kPa (0,15 bar).<\/p>\n<p>Uma vez que as pellets passam por ambos os cilindros, decomp\u00f5em-se e libertam todos os gases contidos no seu interior.
